Emulate the old and create the new - Even based on the tradition, should know to evolve, and even creating new ones, but not lose the root. For the layout, those of ㄷ styles of Ibgyodang, Dongjae and Seojae of Dosan Seoweon were borrowed. To express the authority and dignity of the Office of Education, the building is arranged perpendicularly to the front road and emphasize the strong vertical axis. In spite of difficulty to dispose wide outdoor parking space, it is sorted by the usage and arranged to adjoin to the relevant facility to maximize the its utilizability. As for the floor scheme, upon the requests of users in the Office of Education, whole business space was planned to face south. Never the less, the structure of the program was hard to separate in 2~3 buildings owing to its characteristics, according to the program interpretation by the Office of Education, the program is divided into three zoning and planned three cores in consideration of the possible unconveniency due to prolonged moving line. As for the common use facilities (auditorium, restaurant, fitness center etc.), they are separated from the main building not to cause any inconvenience to the business space because even the outsiders could use them independently. In consideration of the utilizability of meeting room and rest room, they are arranged dispersedly each floor. In case of planning Korean roof, for the under roof space of no sunlight available, disposing the Information System room (Computing Centre) at there is planned because of no sunlight required. Confirming there was neither problem on the structure by the actual structual calculation nor increase of cost, despite of the concern about the structual problem, the bold decision was made to dispose the Information System room at the highest floor and to obtain the security, too, as the result. The architecture of the traditional Korean construction consists of three columns of roof section, wall section and stylobate section. Since the ratio between the roof section and the wall section is 1:1 generally, trying to meet the ratio of 1:1 was made with the consideration of aesthetics and functionality, enduring the slightly bigger volume of roof. For the stylobate section, the traditional masonry for stylobate or the design of substructure of palace was borrowed to express Korean. As for the other mass (business assistance building) containing public nature besides its business, feeling the traditional but rather fresher and modern beauty was planned, by planning the motif with the city wall of Gimhae, not with the traditional Korean house.
