The new site for Busan Sasang-gu office is located in semi-industrial complex with poor surrounding environments and as the site has the long east-west square form, the sufficinet outdoor space cannot be easily secured. However, by suggesting organized surrounding environments with urban structure in connection with the surrounding facilities for future development and by constructing organized outdoor space as a public building, the planned site was intended to play the pivotal role of district office. The placement in straight form was made to comply with the long square type of the land, and by pushing the building to the northern boundry line as tightly as possible, visual sense of openness and wide open space were secured in connection with land use plan such as culture square for diverse cutural activities, residents' meeting place that secured sufficient front space, and parking space for the civil complainers and users of the office.
