This plan is to re-build the existing 5-story Cambridge office building located in the area of high awareness where the officetel buildings and commercial facilities are concentrated around Gangnam Teheran-ro. At the initial planning stage, the greatest emphasis was placed on improvement of frontality and awareness of the building located at the corner. For this, the elevation concept of curtain wall that winds up around the corner. The feeling of dignity and antiqueness was imposed on the lower part using the stones suitable for existing Cambridge image and flow of surrounding commercial facilities was induced by installing the Cambridge stores. To concurrently satisfy the stable image and hi-tech and modern image, the stones were used for core parts and louver was installed on curtain wall at the middle part of the building. The upper part of the building was made to respond to the street pattern with slow curve treatment and symbolic landmark image was imposed on the building by gradually increasing the mass.
