Korea Land Corporation Chungnam Branch Office Building
This site is located in the central part of new town in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon City, close to 30m street and neighborhood park to the west, 20m street, court, prosecutor's office to the north, and neighborhood park to the north, with very excellent awareness. For placement plan, the urban style floor layer was created by placing lower floors at the 30m street side to the west, and by separating it from the east building, the buffer zone was secured. At the west, the connection of pedestrian flow was induced by introducing the concept of 'urban corridor' in response to central green axis (south-north direction) between the two office buildings, and at the south, by placing the main entrance according to street system, the frontality was emphaized. The lower floor mass was divided into two and by projecting the north neighborhood park onto the open entrance, the environment-friendly corporate image connecting to the resting deck and roof garden was embodied. By producing the higher floor mass in east-west rectangular type, it was made to comply with urban context. For elevation plan, the amenity facilities and public facilities that emphasized the welfare function were installed in consideration of clients' convenience, and at the higher floors, the branch business space and rental space that considered the scalability were placed. For elevation plan, the 'stratum' of time and history, the fundmental attribute of the earth, was embodied at the lower part, and at the higher part, the horizontal line in stable directivity and the light vertical line were made to be connected with slant loop, and using the reflection materials and semi-permeable, the horizontal laminas were made to meet the sky while symbolizing the past and future and to respond to the urban axis as diagonal fold.
