Yonsei University International Campus is different from other existing campuses in some aspects. First, it is established as a residential college that accommodates all the students in a dormitory. While it is common in Europe, it is the first case in the country. Next, residential complex and science park are concurrently planned. Finally, as all these facilities are located in Songdo as a new town, Songdo campus is intended to be a town in a town. As a "Urban Campus", reinterpreting the traditional notion of “quad,” the entire campus is located within a quad surrounded by green. Within the building complex is a central courtyard.
