As the planning area is located in central Gwangju city, and it is adjacent to the regional cultural arts center, it has an optimal residential environment. This project plan includes the combination of tower-type and flat-type instead of uniform type, and makes it a primary goal to maximize the openness in the apartment complex. The layout is designed to minimize noise and air pollution by erecting a side wall along an overpass. The layout is also designed to command a fine view and to get a lot of sunlight by sufficiently spacing between apartment buildings. Besides, it is designed to make walkways to upper parts by installing a deck, to have a differentiated spatial plan for lower parts, and to have various theme parks. The parking lot under a deck is designed to get a lot of natural light and sufficient ventilation necessary for comfortable residential complex.
