The shape of the building representing 'smile With U', the future smiling with you, is to embody the CI of National Pension Service. The project is intended to establish the identity through construction. The image that National Pension Service gives to modern society is expected to be more concreter through construction, and a building is designed to show the smile, an emblem of National Pension Service anywhere.
In a newly developed city, the office building of a public institution plays a key role of the city. It also has meaning as a place that the history of the city starts including citizens' lives. Accordingly, the institution is designed to be in harmony with nature as well as to be easily accessible by sufficiently considering the institution as a place for communication with citizens. Various outdoor spaces in the site are in harmony with Jinju Nam river, Central Park open towards a green space responding to a radial axis, and the surrounding rich nature. These outdoor spaces are designed to reflect the urban order. The project plan has considered a reasonable outdoor/indoor traffic line focused on the employees' convenience and work efficiency. This plan is also designed to create a comfortable space that has a lot of natural light, a good ventilation and a high energy-efficiency.

National Pension Service pursues the spirit of sharing, which is expressed in the space that city and nature are in harmony.
The building site is designed to harmonize with urban landscape by keeping the center empty and bring nature to reflect a radial urban structure and a pace for sharing. Besides, it is designed to maximize the publicness of outdoor spaces and to secure various interaction spaces for communication with citizens.

The plan is designed to create a future-oriented work environment through cutting-edge designs and eco-friendly designs. It is designed to make wind roads towards Yeongcheon river and Nam river based on a sustainable eco-friendly design. The shape and orientation of the building are determined according to the angle of incidence of sunlight. The plan considers a visual axis, a wind road and a southerly aspect, and includes a water-friendly and greening plan in consideration nature. The building is designed to maximize natural ventilation by assuming a streamlined shape. It is also designed to minimize maintenance cost by positively utilizing natural energy such as geothermal heating, solar heating and BIPV(building integrated photovoltaics).
