The sociocultural change in the digital era, which is characterized by the simultaneity of time and space, requires the relationship that transcends dichotomous thinking to separate privateness and publicness in a living space. Thus, An approach to interface, which makes spaces correlative through the fixing of bidirectional boundary control, will enable active contact and interactions with neighbors. Besides, it will create a living space that embraces individual diversity and neighborhood, not a space as the lamination of a dwellers' closed space. In order to effectively create this living space, unnecessary public space should be minimized, and the distance from the main gate to a house should be shortened. Furthermore, privateness should be ensured through the boundary control process to expand contacts with the outside world by removing the thickness of isolation. This is the very concept of interface, which will enable not only the meeting of publicness and privateness expanded to urban level but also the effective use of space, through the construction of Korean patio house and the introduction of roadside house.
